Estuvimos apoyando el lanzamiento de la revista de Pousta “La Decadence”, el pasado 18 de abril en Faustina Café. Incluimos un ensamble entre sus páginas aleatoriamente, y los afortunados que se toparon con semejante maravilla de la vida moderna, tuvieron la suerte de obtener el número 1 de la revista + la estupenda y súper rara figurilla ensamble para armar. Además de intervenir ensambles que estaban disponibles para tal acción en el lanzamiento.

Los artículos de la revista van desde reflexiones profundas sobre el ejercicio de la profesión creativa, hasta mujeres desnudas, review de productos cachondos y contenido interactivo para visualizar a través de dispositivos móviles. Todo relatado desde un lenguaje sintético y profundo, que te hace saltar desde un artículo a otro. ¿Como puedes ser sintético y profundo a la vez?, muy fácil ¡con contenido interactivo!

Nos parece fantástico que finalmente Pousta haya decidido dar el salto desde lo virtual hacia lo análogo, y es por esto, que tenemos el gusto de anunciarles que disponemos de variados números de la revista (que incluyen el increíble ensamble entre sus páginas) para sortear a través de nuestra fanpage en Facebook en el futuro cercano.

“BE MY TOYS” Veinte diseñadores y artistas del Juguete, talleres, conciertos, DJs de todo el mundo, todo relacionado con los art toys y las Artes Urbanas.

Be My Toys, fue el festival del “art toy” realizado en Paris, Francia, el pasado 16 de abril del 2013. En el festival se mostró el trabajo de 20 artistas, entre los cuales podemos mencionar, Lucie Le Guerroupé, Juan Carlos Romo, David Bernal, Bros Adam, Jonathan Kindermans además del excelente trabajo de Tougui. Junto con un sin número de actividades relacionadas con el tema (música en vivo, talleres, custom grupales etc).
Estuvimos presentes en el festival con nuestros productos, pero lamentablemente no tuvimos el privilegio de hacer este lugar aún más hermoso con nuestra presencia. Sin embargo fue posible que nuestros muñequitos viajaran gracias a ese invento tan moderno: las encomiendas.

Así que para los que alucinaron con que fuimos, volvimos y volvimos a ir nuevamente a Francia pues, ¡se equivocaron! La versatilidad del material con el que trabajamos nos permite derribar fronteras sin necesariamente tomar un avión.

With the visit of Frank Kozik to Chile, the “Art Toy Fest” was conceived, organized by The Campus Creativo and Puma Lab. In this, workshops were developed during the first week of April by Proyecto Ensamble, Cubo Toy and Yey. Culminating all these activities on Friday at Puma Lab, with the exhibition of the work of the design studios, highlighting the works from the workshops. In addition to the lecture given by Frank kozik one of the leaders of the movement of “Artoys” internationally(from which we obtain a very personalized autograph in one of our beloved Ensambles), ending everything with the national band “Astro”.

In the Proyecto Ensamble workshop, we apply the concepts of ASSEMBLY, from the study of the shape to the concept of prototypes. These are reflected in the group work (assembled) with which we began, to reach optimum results through individual analysis of form, prosecuting the whole process in an experimental and creative way. We rely on our experience in working with paper, to teach participants to generate and visualize volumes into efficient templates for finally materialize a paper art toy.

From the 10th to the 13th of january 2013, in Factoria Italia, was the first edition of Área: Santiago, in this, the emphasis was in two fascinating dimensions of the creative process from the design, architecture and visual arts: The result that we all know as “finished work” and the creative process -personal and subjective at times as well as methodical and professional in another- that determines the final result.

In short, the aim was to show the methodology and process of each of the speakers so that the viewer could judge the differences between the techniques discussed and how this manifest and delimit the result that is presented as works or final product.

We where present in the show with our “Crystal Clear Proyecto Ensamble” product, inside the design and visual arts category. Specifically exposing technical processes from the work with the template until the Final volumetric layout, where we can clearly see how we pass from two to three dimensions. Our expo evolves from been the invisible expo to the the coolest expo in the place, and because of this we want to thanks Pato Pozo for the awesome invitation.

In addition to our experience we could appreciate the work and meet other exhibitors as Sergio Recabarren, bravo!, gt2P, Cristóbal Palma, The Andes House, Smog, Bernardita Marambio (Demode), among others…

For the ones that couldn’t go to our show, here we put some photos and a video by PUMA LAB of what was our show The Edge, the expo. Also we would like to thanks to all our sponsors in this expo, that were Valdivieso with his sparkling wine for sparkling people, and to eat we have ceviche from San Ceviche.
